"How 'Bout Some Effort" is the twenty-fourth episode of Season 3 of Teen Titans Go! and the one hundred and twenty-eighth episode overall. It first aired on 15 February 2016 on Cartoon Network alongside "Pyramid Scheme".
It's Valentine's Day and Cyborg goes to great lengths to make it special for his girlfriend, Jinx.
On Valentine's Day night, Jinx sets up a romantic dinner at Titans Tower for her husband Cyborg and their baby - Gizmo, who demands that they stop acting weirdly and treating him like a baby. Jinx gives him a bottle which Gizmo initially refuses but accepts. Cyborg notices the romantic dinner and asks for the occasion, angering Jinx. He reveals, however, that he knows it's Valentine's Day and has something special planned, much to Jinx's surprise. He transports Jinx (alongside the rest of the Titans) to a classroom environment, which he claims is the best place to celebrate the holiday. The Titans cheer and Starfire asks if they can hand out their valentines. As the Titans proceed to do so, Jinx notices that Cyborg is giving everyone the same card and says that it's supposed to be their day. Cyborg realizes that Jinx didn't get cards for everyone, upsetting Beast Boy. She explains that she only got a card for her husband but Beast Boy starts crying and Cyborg attempts to comfort him by saying Jinx loves him. Jinx claims that she doesn't and Cyborg snaps at her for ruining Beast Boy's Valentine's Day, causing her to storm off.
Later, Jinx is cradling Gizmo on the couch when Raven and Starfire sit down beside her. She apologizes for the scene, but Starfire and Raven reassure that they're there for her. Gizmo demands that they stop acting like he's their baby, but Jinx calls his behavior a result from her fight with Cyborg and proceeds to change his diaper. Gizmo yells at them to stop, but falls asleep after he notes that his new diaper feels better.
Meanwhile, Robin and Beast Boy are giving Cyborg, who is crying, a bath. Beast Boy makes a mohawk out of soap on Cyborg's head to make him feel better, but it doesn't work. Cyborg explains that he doesn't understand why Jinx is mad at him and Robin says he couldn't understand because nothing makes sense on Valentine's Day. Beast Boy decides to give him a makeover and he and Robin dress up Cyborg in a wig, dress and apply lipstick, curled eyelashes, and blush on him. Cyborg expresses doubt, but Robin shows him a mirror and claims that he looks fabulous. The male Titans begin dancing when Jinx, Raven and Starfire catch them. Cyborg claims that it isn't what it looks like, but Jinx asks if he's not having the best time with his friends and not thinking about her. Cyborg becomes confused and Jinx throws Gizmo at him and exits.
Cyborg chases after her, but is unable to catch up. He asks how is he supposed to get Jinx back and Raven summons Ancient Legends to describe a journey to the Land of Last Minute Valentines where he'll collect flowers, chocolates, and a teddy bear while displaying virtues of thoughtfulness, effort and sacrifice. He jumps into a portal and asks that they watch the baby for him. Gizmo asks if they can drop the charade as he's gone, but Starfire says he is fuzzy and Robin suggests swaddling him. Gizmo protests as Beast Boy wraps him in a blanket but his anger subsides when he realizes how cozy he is and falls asleep.
Cyborg arrives at the Land of Last Minute Last Valentines where a man gives him a lift on a gondola. He finds a flower which comes to life and explains that Cyborg will have to ask a question to pick her. Cyborg asks for the riddle, but the flower asks if her color looks good with her petals, but he says it looks fine and she starts to cry. He says it doesn't matter as no one cares what she looks like, but realizes he has to be thoughtful. He apologies and claims that her petals compliment her stem and notices her new stamen. She declares him worthy and allows him to pick her.
He arrives at a valley filled with chocolate boxes and reads a sign that claims only one box of chocolate will win the heart of his true love. Cyborg says they all look the same to him and picks a random box off the floor, but stops and claims Jinx is the best and deserves the best. He tosses the box and explodes in the distance causing him to note that picking the easiest gift is a time bomb. He notices a chocolate box at the top of a pile and climbs several to reach it, avoiding exploding chocolate boxes as he goes. He reaches the box, but winged chocolate boxes destroy his mountain. Cyborg falls to the ground, but the box lands on top of him and he claims it was worth it. He reaches a cave where he finds a stuffed teddy bear which viciously attacks him, but he manages to subdue him with his sonic cannon.
Cyborg returns to Titans Tower where Jinx is sitting on the couch and explains that he got her some stuff as he loves her, handing her the flower, chocolates and teddy bear. Jinx gets sparkles in her eyes and she imagines Cyborg singing a romantic song for her and the two reconcile with a kiss. Raven, on her watch, sees that Valentine's Day is over and tells them to wrap it up. Starfire cheers for their rekindled romance and Cyborg explains that it only took thought, effort, and sacrifice. He says that they now know how it's like to be married on Valentine's Day and Jinx says it's terrible with Cyborg agreeing. The Titans and Jinx walk off, leaving Gizmo on his stroller, asking to be changed.
