"Lazy Sunday" is the twenty-eighth episode of Season 1 of Teen Titans Go!, and the twenty-eighth episode overall. It first aired on 9 October 2013 on Cartoon Network.
Cyborg and Beast Boy love lazy Sundays sitting on the couch ... even when it's a Tuesday! But when Robin replaces the couch with a treadmill, the two lazy teens must embrace the new active lifestyle.
Beast Boy and Cyborg are complimenting the couch and ready themselves for a lazy Sunday. They sit on the couch and begin talking about which one of them is lazier. The Couch Spirit emerges and tells them not to get riled up as they're both lazy. The spirit tells them that he's glad to see both Titans so relaxed on lazy Sunday and warns them that while some people may try to take away their laziness, they must fight for their right to be lazy. Cyborg doesn't understand and when the Couch Spirit begins to explain, he yawns and returns to the couch for a nap. Robin approaches them and asks why they won't get off the couch. Cyborg says it's lazy Sunday, but Robin reminds him that it's Tuesday. He asks them to move over so he and Raven can sit on the couch, but they refuse. Robin yells at them for abusing the couch and Cyborg taunts that he'll never get them off the couch. From the kitchen, Starfire asks if anyone wants to eat chili. While Beast Boy and Cyborg want to eat the chili, they don't want to get off of the couch. Cyborg devises a plan where they can eat the chili in the shortest amount of time possible. However, when they return, they find a treadmill in the couch's place.
Robin tells Beast Boy and Cyborg that he donated the couch to the Community Center of Jump City and Beast Boy and Cyborg burst into tears. Starfire hopes that their grief won't last so long, but Raven informs her there are five stages of grief. The first is denial and Beast Boy and Cyborg sit on the treadmill, pretending that it's a couch. The next stage is anger and the lazy Titans express it in various ways. The third stage is bargaining and Beast Boy and Cyborg beg Robin to bring the couch back, going as far as asking him in the bathroom. The fourth stage is depression and Beast Boy strums a guitar while Cyborg plays a harmonica in a song. The final stage is acceptance and Beast Boy and Cyborg hold a memorial for the couch. They turn around to see Robin on the treadmill and ask him what he's doing.
Robin explains that he's walking and asks Raven if she's tried the treadmill. Raven simply floats over the treadmill and says that she's feeling energized. Robin asks Starfire if she has and she floats toward the exercise machine and walks rapidly. Cyborg and Beast Boy exclaim they want a turn and begin walking on the treadmill. Mesmerized by the treadmill, the two soon begin exercising. Cyborg asks Beast Boy why they never tried exercising before and Beast Boy says he doesn't know, but loves exercising. The Treadmill Spirit reveals himself and offers them a protein shake, but they politely decline. Beast Boy, noticing the spirit's physical body, asks what his secret is and the spirit tells them his daily routine. Beast Boy interrupts and asks him if he ever just relaxes, but the Treadmill Spirit says that life is motion and leaves for a Pilates class while telling them that if they keep exercising, they'll be just like him. Beast Boy and Cyborg glance at each other and resolve to get the couch back.
Beast Boy and Cyborg head to the kitchen where the other Titans are gathered and tell them of their mission to rescue the couch from the Community Center. Robin refuses, reasoning that they've never been healthier. Cyborg attempts to goad him with the prospect of a workout during the mission, and Beast Boy successfully changes Robin's mind by saying they were planning on getting tacos. The Titans board the T-Plane when Robin reports having visual confirmation. Starfire and Raven prepare to exit the plane, but Beast Boy and Cyborg say they have to complete the mission on their own and disembark. Outside the Community Center, Super Robin steals a little girl's ice cream. Crying, she runs past Beast Boy and Cyborg, who are surveying the center. Cyborg and Beast Boy confirm the couch’s presence and Cyborg blows up the wall of the Community Center. They report to Robin and he drops down a hook that the Titans attach to the couch. They retrieve the couch and bid farewell to the citizens staring at them in shock. As the T-Plane flies back to Titans Tower, Beast Boy and Cyborg are sitting in the couch behind them while eating tacos.
Back at the tower, Robin is walking on the treadmill while the rest of the Titans relax on the couch. Robin is excited at the idea of having more treadmill time while Raven admits that it's nice to have the couch back. The Couch Spirit emerges and Beast Boy and Cyborg greet him, saying that they missed him. The Couch Spirit says that he missed them too, and when Beast Boy inquires about a mysterious smell, informs them that the Community Center loved their garlic. Meanwhile, the Treadmill Spirit pressures Robin to walk faster.
