"Power Moves" is the thirtieth episode of Season 1 of Teen Titans Go!, and the thirtieth episode overall. It first aired on 23 October 2013 on Cartoon Network.

Logline

Robin gets carried away when he and Cyborg start merging their powers and technology into cool power moves. He even moves into Cyborg's body and refuses to leave.[1]

Synopsis

The H.I.V.E. Five is terrorizing Jump City in front of Justice Java when Robin orders the Teen Titans into combat. Beast Boy and Cyborg interrupt and tell Robin that they want to test out some new power moves. The others are unaware of the concept and they explain that a power move is formed when two superheroes combine their abilities. They decide to demonstrate with the "Power Ball Shuffle" against See-More and Beast Boy transforms into a squid where he inks See-More before Cyborg throws him onto the villain. Raven and Starfire note that the name is misleading as there was no ball or shuffling involved. Cyborg decides to show them the Thunder Alley Knockout where Beast Boy, as a gorilla, throws Cyborg’s detached head to knock over Billy Numerous. Robin asks if their power moves are just them throwing each other when Beast Boy decides to show them Centaur Kick. He transforms into a horse and Cyborg retracts his lower body and lands on Beast Boy. They charge toward Jinx and kick her against a wall. As they celebrate, Robin tells them to look out for Mammoth and shoots a birdarang while Cyborg launches a projectile from his sonic cannon. The attacks combine to form a power-ang that defeats Mammoth with an explosion, shocking Starfire and Raven. Cyborg and Robin celebrate their power move as Beast Boy frowns.

Back at Titans Tower, Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire are lounging in the living room when Robin and Cyborg approach them, giggling and asking if they want a drink. Although they all refuse, they decide to perform the Flying Soda Grab where Cyborg extends his arms while holding Robin, who opens a fridge and takes out two sodas. He returns to the couch whereupon he opens the cans, drenching Starfire and Raven. They fly off and Beast Boy confronts Cyborg for performing power moves with Robin. Robin says it's because Beast Boy is lame, but he shrugs him off and asks Cyborg if he wants to play video games. Cyborg agrees, but Robin says that they have to work on power moves and transforms Cyborg into a jetpack to fly off. Beast Boy sits back down, but notices that he's alone.

Beast Boy goes to Raven’s room and asks her if she wants to work on power moves together. She refuses, but he insists, claiming that it's easy as all she has to do is pick him up and throw him. Raven envelops Beast Boy in her soul self and slams him against the wall, calling it fun. Meanwhile, in the garage, Robin and Cyborg continue to merge. Robin merges his staff with Cyborg's boom box and it develops a living personality, creating Beat Box. Cyborg merges his motherboard with Robin's birdarang and it too develops a living personality, creating Birdarang. They begin dancing and merge their lunches, splattering the food all over themselves. After Robin licks jelly off his face, Cyborg decides to go see what Beast Boy is up to, but Robin insists on continuing to develop power moves. He claims there is one more way for them to merge and laughs manically which Cyborg dubs weird. In a hot air balloon, Beast Boy asks Starfire if she's ready to create the Flaming Spiked Ball of Death. He transforms into a porcupine and jumps out of the hot air balloon while Starfire shoots a purple star bolt that envelops Beast Boy. However, he catches on fire and falls through the tower's roof.

Cyborg and Birdarang are playing chess when Beast Boy falls on Birdarang. Cyborg asks what happened and he explains that he's working on his power moves before asking about Robin. He says he's glad that he isn't around when Cyborg’s body opens, revealing Robin has moved inside. Beast Boy calls that disgusting, but Robin says that they are the ultimate power move and will be able to handle any threat. He replaces Cyborg's legs with his own and runs off to Jump City with Birdarang and Beast Box. There, they create more combos such as a snack combo that they make Cyborg eat, a fashion combo that dresses Cyborg up in embarrassing clothes, and a spots combo that leaves Cyborg entangled in a basketball net when combining basketball, a trampoline, and a pogo stick.

Back at the tower, Cyborg is disturbed by the party inside of his party and tells Robin that he needs to move out. Robin repeats that they form the ultimate power move and that they can't give it up. Cyborg says they can and reaches inside to grab Robin, but he maneuvers around his hand. Cyborg releases gas, but Robin exits certain points of his body to breathe and retreats back inside to avoid Cyborg's hits with a mallet. He begins messing around with Cyborg's controls until he begins punching Cyborg through his ear. The other Titans approach them and demand that Robin moves out. He refuses and the Titans try to yank him out, but fail. Robin decides to attack them with a power move, Birdarang Barrage, and uses Cyborg to launch birdarangs at the Titans. They decide to knock him out using the Ultimate Titans Power Move.

Beast Boy transforms into a triceratops and Raven envelops him with armor from her soul-self while Starfire rides him with a sword covered with her star bolts. Robin immediately launches out of Cyborg just as Starfire slices him in half, causing the Titan to explode. Cyborg thanks Beast Boy for saving him and Beast Boy brags in Robin's face, but Robin praises their power move and asks if there is a way he can be included. The Titans exit the tower to work on the Ultimate Extreme Titan Power Move, leaving Cyborg, dismembered on the floor. He calls for them to help or turn on the T.V., but no one responds.
