"Pyramid Scheme" is the twenty-fifth episode of Season 3 of Teen Titans Go! and the one hundred and twenty-ninth episode overall. It first aired on 15 February 2016 on Cartoon Network alongside "How 'Bout Some Effort".

Beast Boy starts making tons of cash thanks to a pyramid scheme and convinces the other Titans to join in.[1]

Beast Boy with pamphlet

Beast Boy decides to get rich with a pyramid scheme.

Robin, Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire are gathered at the couch when Beast Boy joins them, crying that he can't afford the expensive gift that Cyborg wants for his birthday. Raven notes that his problem sounds familiar, and Cyborg says his birthday is months away. Beast Boy goes on that he needs to get a job to afford the expensive gift and Robin interrupts by believing that he's going to get a job at a pie shop. Beast Boy denies this and says he plans on making money the easy way before handing him a pamphlet. Robin notices that it is a pyramid scheme which Cyborg and Raven believe has something to do with mummies.

Robin explains that a pyramid scheme is a business in which payment is given to participants based on the amount of people they get enrolled in the business as opposed to focusing on the sales of goods or services to the public. He adds that the exponential growth of the business will eventually cause the business to collapse, leaving the participants bankrupt and the ones at the top rich. Starfire asks if the mummies built the pyramids, but Robin stresses that it's not that type of pyramid and that there is no such thing as easy money, it has to be earned through hard labor. Beast Boy notes that the people at the top of the pyramid become rich and promises to get Cyborg the most expensive birthday present ever before transforming into a dolphin and jumping out the window.

Money Sheriff with Money Deputies

Beast Boy gets Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven to join the scheme and makes them his Money Deputies.

Days later, Robin stops Beast Boy from eating a cash salad as he refuses to stand by and watch money being wasted. Cyborg asks if the cash salad was good, but Beast Boy says that it wasn't and was only eating it because he more money than he can spend. He raps about the money he earned from a pyramid scheme and stuff he bought, including a gold bear and a gold car. He gives Cyborg a gold crown for his birthday. Raven asks about how he came by the money and he answers that it was from a pyramid scheme and is now a money sheriff. Starfire asks what a money sheriff is and he answers it's like being president of his own company, but with a badge.

Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven ask to join in the scheme, but Beast Boy demands a hundred dollars. Robin interrupts the transaction by claiming that the badge has no value, but Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven ignore him. Beast Boy hands them badges and tells them they're his money deputies. Robin says that they aren't deputies and that there are no mummies in a pyramid scheme. He claims they are participating in a fraudulent business and need honest work, hard labor. Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven ignore him again and Beast Boy tasks them with recruiting more deputies.

Mummy Boss collects his money

The Teen Titans give the Mummy Boss his cut of the money.

After doing so, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire sit around a campfire eating cash salads while Robin watches disapprovingly. He scolds the Titans for participating in a pyramid scheme and claims they will be left bankrupt, but Cyborg disagrees. Beast Boy approaches and takes the money that Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire have eaten from their mouths. He informs them that the boss wants his cut of the money. Suddenly, a pyramid rises from the ground and Mummy Boss exits the capstone. Robin is shocked that a mummy is at the head of a pyramid scheme, but the other Titans aren't. Mummy Boss demands his cut, but the briefcase is only filled with chewed up wads. Raven confesses that they ate the rest and Mummy Boss has the Titans captured.

In Egypt, the Titans are forced to transport a pyramid block across the desert. Beast Boy admits that their situation is his fault as he only wanted to buy Cyborg the most expensive birthday gift he ever wanted. Starfire chides Cyborg for his materialism, but Cyborg claims he would have accepted a hug. Robin says he was wrong about pyramid schemes, because the dangerous things about them are the mummies. He tells the Titans that the only way to get out of a pyramid scheme is through hard labor. Raven says they're already doing that. Robin has the Titans hide behind the pyramid block and says he meant the other kind of hard labor. Beast Boy transforms into a pregnant chicken and gives birth to an egg. Robin grabs the egg, throws the chick aside, and takes out chain cutters to free the Titans. Beast Boy transforms back to a human and asks what they are going to do about the mummies. The Titans remind him that he's still the sheriff and they're his deputies.

Mummy Boss versus Beast Boy

Mummy Boss and Beast Boy in a stand-off.

A mummy notices that the chains have been cut and calls the other mummies to him. However, Raven uses her soul-self to levitate the pyramid stone and crushes them. They take their horses and ride to the pyramid where more mummies are lounging. Robin shoots bird-a-rangs from his boots, Beast Boy transforms into an ox and knocks mummies aside, and Starfire shoots blasts to the mummies while they shoot at her. Raven creates a portal and Cyborg exits behind the mummies to stop them from shooting. Outside, Mummy Boss announces his arrival and Beast Boy heads out to face him for a stand-off. However, Beast Boy's golden bear runs over the mummy in his golden car. Robin tells the Titans that he hope they learned about the dangers of pyramid schemes. Starfire and Raven say that the mummies are scary, but Cyborg says being a cowboy is fun. Beast Boy says he knows what they have to do and the Titans ride into the sunset.
